As culture editor at India Currents, Geetika had access to some of the most influential film-makers working in the medium. These include established film-makers like Mira Nair and upcoming independent film-makers like Oscar-nominated Smriti Mundhra.
Geetika’s film reviews for India Currents draws on her deep knowledge of Bollywood and world cinema. These are collected in the book for a delightful look at the ferment and creativity of the film scene from an Indian in California.
A BIT ABOUT ME
My Story
An award-winning writer and editor, I earned my doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin and attended Purdue University for my master’s degree. I spent many years in higher education, mostly teaching courses on media and society. In my leisure time, I can often be found doing yoga and enjoying the great California outdoors.
